Quilting is my Cup of Tea was born out of a 30-year dream. Maria Salagi has been quilting for over 35 years and professionally longarm quilting for over 15 years. Whether it’s teaching beginners how to quilt, teaching new tricks to established quilters, or creating one-of-a-kind memory and  T-shirt quilts, she truly loves what she does.

Longarm Quilting – 2.5¢/square inch, your choice of pantograph or stipple

Piece Backing – $10.00

Attach Sleeve – 30¢/linear inch

Attach Binding (machine) – 10¢/linear inch

Attach Binding (machine & hand) – 20¢/linear inch

Warm & Natural cotton batting available, 90″ wide – $15.00/yard (or you may supply your own)

FAQs

What is your turn around time?
The average turn around is 2 – 3 weeks except closer to the Christmas holidays it may be 3 – 4 weeks so please plan ahead.

Does the backing and batting have to be larger than the quilt top?
Yes – both need to be  6″ wider and longer than the quilt top;  this allows for 3″ all around (ex: 40″ x 60″ quilt top requires minimum 46″ x 66″ batting and backing).

When piecing the backing, how should the seam be ironed?
Iron the seam open.

Is your longarm machine computerized?
No, the quilting is hand-guided with the choice of pantographs or stipple/meander.

Custom quilts or T-shirt quilts are a great way to keep warm while also warming someone’s heart. They are a perfect send-off for a graduate to commemorate all their accomplishments in high school or college using T-shirts from sports or other activities. They can be made in memory of a loved one using their clothing or other fabric items. They can also be made out of baby clothes or security blankets to remember childhood.
